These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all bookings and services provided by Unseen Nordic Trails AS, operating under the brand name Nordic Unseen (“we”, “our”, “us”).
By booking a tour, consultation, or any other service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Services Provided
We currently offer:
- Guided Tours – hiking, biking, ski-related activities and snowshoeing, led by certified or experienced guides in Norway.
- Online Consultations – personalized travel planning and advice provided remotely.
- Digital Products – curated online maps and digital guides providing location-based information via third-party platforms.
Unseen Nordic Trails AS is a Norwegian-registered company focused on outdoor experiences and authentic exploration.
We do not operate as a travel agency or package-tour provider under the Norwegian Package Travel Act.
3. Bookings, Payments & Confirmation
3.1 Booking Process
Booking requests can be made by email or through direct communication with Nordic Unseen.
We usually respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.
Once we receive your request, we will send you an invoice or payment link together with all relevant information about the service.
Your booking is considered confirmed once full payment has been received, and we will then send you a written confirmation by email.
Bookings become binding upon confirmation and payment.
3.2 Payment Method
Payments can be made by invoice or through our secure online payment solution provided via Stripe, depending on the type of service or product.
Prices are listed in NOK or EUR, depending on the product or service, and include MVA (VAT) where applicable.
3.3 Booking Confirmation
Once payment has been received, you will receive a written confirmation containing all relevant details about your tour, consultation or digital product.
If payment is not received by the due date, the booking may be cancelled.
4. Digital Products
4.1 License
Digital Products are intended for personal use only.
Your purchase gives you access to the content, but it may not be shared, copied, redistributed, or resold.
If the content is shared or misused, access may be revoked without refund. All intellectual property rights remain the property of Nordic Unseen.
4.2 Access
Access to Digital Products is granted manually after successful payment and is normally provided within 24 hours.
You are responsible for having a suitable device, internet access, and any required third-party account (such as Google).
We are not responsible for technical issues related to third-party platforms or your own equipment.
4.3 Use and Responsibility
Digital Products are provided for informational purposes only.
Outdoor conditions change constantly. You are fully responsible for your own decisions, preparation, safety, and risk assessment when using the information provided.
Nordic Unseen does not guarantee real-time accuracy or safety of any location described.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that plans can change. Here’s how cancellations are handled.
5.1 Cancellations by the Customer
- Guided Tours:
- Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the start time → full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 72 hours before → non-refundable.
- Online Consultations:
- Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled time → full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before → non-refundable.
All cancellations must be sent in writing via email to jana@nordicunseen.com.
Refunds are issued by bank transfer in NOK or EUR, and we are not responsible for exchange-rate fluctuations.
If you cannot attend due to illness, flight cancellations, road closures, or similar events, we can provide documentation for your travel-insurance claim — but these cases are not covered by our refund policy.
We strongly recommend that all participants have travel insurance covering trip cancellation, delays, and medical emergencies.
5.2 Cancellations by Nordic Unseen
If extreme weather, illness, or safety concerns require us to cancel, we will:
- offer an alternative date, or
- provide a full refund if rescheduling is not possible.
We are not responsible for secondary costs (e.g. accommodation, transportation, or other expenses) caused by cancellations.
5.3 Right of Withdrawal (Digital Products)
All sales of Digital Products (including online maps and digital guides) are final and non-refundable once delivered.
By completing the purchase and receiving access, you agree that delivery begins once access is provided, and the right of withdrawal under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act does not apply.
Refunds are only considered in cases of duplicate payment or verified technical defects.
6. Participant Requirements and Conduct
6.1 Health and Fitness
Participants must be in suitable physical condition for the chosen activity.
If you have medical conditions, mobility issues, or special needs, please inform us before booking so we can assess whether the activity is appropriate.
6.2 Respectful Behaviour
We expect participants to act respectfully toward guides, fellow participants, and nature.
Unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful conduct may result in removal from the activity without refund.
6.3 Equipment and Personal Responsibility
Participants are responsible for bringing and using appropriate personal equipment for the activity.
Unseen Nordic Trails AS does not provide or rent out gear unless otherwise stated in the tour description.
We may recommend trusted local rental providers, but these are third-party services. Unseen Nordic Trails AS takes no responsibility for the quality, availability, or condition of rental equipment obtained from external suppliers.
Participants must ensure that all equipment used is in good condition and suitable for the activity.
6.4 Age Requirements
Participants under 18 years must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian to participate in tours or activities.
7. Liability and Insurance
7.1 Customer Insurance
While Unseen Nordic Trails AS carries standard liability insurance, each participant is responsible for having adequate personal travel insurance that covers outdoor and mountain activities.
7.2 Assumption of Risk
By joining a tour, you acknowledge the inherent risks of outdoor activities — including changing weather, uneven terrain, and physical exertion.
You participate voluntarily and at your own risk.
7.3 Limitation of Liability
Nordic Unseen and its guides are not responsible for injuries, damages, or losses arising from accidents, delays, or external circumstances, unless caused by gross negligence on our part.
We are not responsible for route closures, weather changes, or other factors outside our control.
7.4 Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by force majeure, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, or other events beyond our control.
8. Photography and Media
8.1 Photography by the Company
During tours, our guides may take photos or videos for promotional purposes.
By joining our tours, you grant Unseen Nordic Trails AS the right to use these materials on our website, social media, and marketing channels.
8.2 Opting Out
If you prefer not to appear in photos or videos, please inform us before or during the tour, and we will ensure you are excluded from any promotional content.
8.3 Sharing Photos
We may share selected photos with participants after the tour as a complimentary gesture — however, this service is not guaranteed.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as implemented in Norway.
We collect only the information necessary to manage your booking (name, contact details, and any relevant health information).
Your data is used exclusively for communication and service delivery purposes.
We never sell or share your information with third parties except as required by law.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at jana@nordicunseen.com.

10. Complaints
Complaints should be raised as soon as possible during the activity or consultation, so that we have an opportunity to correct the issue.
Written complaints must be submitted within 14 days after the end of the tour or consultation to jana@nordicunseen.com.
If no agreement is reached, customers may contact Forbrukerrådet (the Norwegian Consumer Council) for mediation: www.forbrukerradet.no.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law.
In the event of a dispute, we will first attempt to resolve it through open communication.
If no solution is found, the dispute shall be handled by the Norwegian courts in accordance with Norwegian law.
12. Amendments and Updates
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.
The latest version will always be available on our website.
By continuing to use our services after changes are published, you accept the updated Terms.
13. Disclaimer for Free Content
The information, routes, and itineraries published on the Nordic Unseen website and related platforms are provided for general informational purposes only.
While all content has been carefully researched and is believed to be accurate at the time of publishing, conditions in nature may change without notice.
The author and Unseen Nordic Trails AS accept no responsibility for errors, route changes, closures, weather conditions, or any incidents that may occur while following the described activities or itineraries.
Anyone using this information does so at their own risk and is fully responsible for their own safety, decisions, and equipment.
